They don't call New York City as the city of skyscrapers for nothing. Among the many buildings, Hearst Tower is one of my favorites. It is a 46-story glass-and-steel building rising 597 feet from within its landmark six-story base. Hearst Tower is the first occupied office building in New York City to achieve the coveted Gold rating under the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. If you want to take a look walk to Eighth Avenue between 56th and 57th Streets.
