Because I have lived in and often travel to Japan, apart from frequenting Japanese restaurants and hanging out with my Japanese friends, along with surfing Japanese websites, when I need a Japanese magazine fix, my go-to place is Kinokuniya. This is a famous chain of bookstores in Japan and I have been to their New York and Los Angeles locations. They have a huge collection of books and magazines from Japan and Asia, along with a very simple, awesome Japanese style cafe that serves delicious desserts and tea/coffee. If you are a Japanophile, strongly recommended. When I visited them last, I was captivated by the decorations in the window, especially the play on "Mi So happy" tee.
