Hollywood stars love Nobu restaurants
If you have never heard of the restaurant "Nobu" then you are probably not a serious fan of Hollywood celebrities.  So now that you are curious to learn, Nobu is a chain of restaurants that is very popular hangout among the stars.  Started by Nobu Matsuhisa , a renowned Japanese chef, the stars can dine at Nobu when they are in California (two locations in Malibu and Beverly Hills).  But if they are not at home, Nobu is also located in New York, Aspen (Colorado), Las Vegas, Miami Beach, Tokyo, London, and Milano.  (Related:  Il Tramezzino restaurant and Koi/Bridge)

Which stars eat at Nobu?

nobu, japanese restaurant, sign

Actually it will be much better to come up with a list of stars that do not eat at Nobu, but just to give you a flavor of who eats there, the names that you might recognize are Howard Stern, Denise Richards, John Stamos, Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Scott Sartiano, Heidi Klum and husband Seal, Kevin Bacon, Jude Law, Sienna Miller, and Kyra Sedgwick.  (Related:  Orso restaurant is popular among celebrities)

How can you enjoy a meal at Nobu?

Well, Nobu is not your neighborhood "Japanese" restaurant (which in nine out of ten cases does not have a Japanese chef or even a chef trained in Japan - the staff in the kitchen is just a bunch of people who have learned Japanese cooking by trial and error).  So going to Nobu means that you must be prepared to spend what you would in a nice restaurants.  At the low end (without a bottle of wine or dessert), plan on spending about $80 for dinner for two.  At the high end, you will cross $100.  Expensive?  Just a little bit but there is a fair chance that you will run into a celebrity, particularly in the California locations.
