Ratatouille is a movie that makes you change your opinion about rats. I get such an awkward feeling looking at rats, particularly if they are in the kitchen. A couple of months ago, there were all kinds reports of rats roaming around the kitchens of not just fast food restaurants but also in those of upscale eateries. So the idea of rats in the kitchen is, well, simply repulsive.
In the movie, Remy is a rat that dreams of becoming a chef in a restaurant. What could be more ironic than that? The rat ends up at an exclusive restaurant in Paris and with the help of sympathetic garbage boy, he gets to show his cooking talents, and that is when a hilarious chain of events starts.
