During summer time, New York City is a place for spending time outdoors, for example, attending the Puerto Rico day parade, or even better, the Coney Island Mermaid parade, in which the residents of this area dress up as mermaids. If you have been to New Orleans, then it should remind you of the festivities during the Mardi Gras festival. If you have never been to New York City, well, then Coney Island is the part that you will see so very often in movies. When characters in a movie bring their children to an amusement park from their tiny apartments in Manhattan, this is the place they go to.
