We love to eat exotic dishes and cook them too but cooking in restaurants is a whole different ballgame.  As we have seen in Ratatouille or the story of Filippo La Mantia, being a chef is no easy task.  And I guess that acting as a cook is even more difficult, but the fine actress that she is, Catherine Zeta Jones pulls it off really well.  Of course, as in the movie "Like Water For Chocolate," food is so little about eating, really, it so much about sex.  Watch this video of the two actors talking about the film.

If you have take any Latin dance lessons or watched programs like "Dancing With The Stars," you might have been exposed to salsa, one of the more energetic and sensuous dances.  And one of the legends in the world of salsa is Puerto Rican dancer Hector Lavoe.  One of his most successful albums is "El cantante," (translates as "the singer") which has now been made into a movie with Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez (who plays the role of Puchi).  The movie chronicles the story of this talented artist, who also struggled with his drug addiction, (like Lindsay Lohan?).  Here is a video of his interview along with clips from the film.

I love to wear boots but when it is hot, as it is New York City in the middle of July, I like my strappy sandals.  I was surprised to see Minnie Driver perform at the J&R Music World concert (she was promoting her CD Seastories) in these ankle high boots.  She looks hot, but I bet she was hot and sweaty in those boots.

I am positive that Lindsay Lohan wanted to be in jail.  After all why would she use alcohol and drugs while wearing a alcohol monitoring bracelet?  Maybe Paris Hilton has made prison look cool?  Maybe someone will make Lindsay Lohan cupcakes!  Here is the Wax Museum's version of what she would look like in jail clothes.

India has just elected its first ever president and it may be time for America to do the same.  I wouldn't be surprised if Hillary Clinton did become the first female American president.  Regardless of what you think about her, she (along with husband president Bill Clinton) do have a great sense of humor (and it appears that a shot at acting in Hollywood; after all they hang out with Hollywood celebrities all the time).  Watch this video in which the couple makes fun of the finale of Sopranos.

John Travolta is an incredible actor and people like us remember hime from his "Saturday Night Fever" days when we all wanted to dance like him.  In "Hairspray," he goes several steps farther by crossdressing and acting as the mother of a teenager who accepts her obese body through dancing.  Yes, I have taken some dancing lessons and all I can say is that when you are dancing, you forget the defects of your body; you just immerse yourself in the dance.  Here is an insightful interview with Travolta in which he talks about this movie as well as other movies that he has acted in plus some new film ideas that he is working on.

The Broadway musical Hairspray for which Marissa Winokur won a Tony has yet again been made into a movie with John Travolta and Zac Efron.  So is the movie Hairspray worth watching if you have seen the musical or watched the original John Waters movie?  Probably not since there isn't much new stuff in here except for the cast though celebrities like Lisa Rinna and Bernadetter Peters rushed to watch it.
