Music Choice has picked Grammy-winning, multi-platinum R&B star, Ciara as their 'Artist of the Month.' Her album on LaFace Records, "The Evolution," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, and has since gone Platinum. She is arguably the most talented young female entertainer in the industry today." I would even put her among the top Hollywood celebrities.
"Ciara is in a league of her own," says Julia Lipari, SVP/Head of Marketing at Zomba Label Group. "To look at her music videos alone, all of which are groundbreaking seminal clips, is to witness enormous talent and creativity."
"Music Choice recognized Ciara's musical talent very early in her career," says Lamonda Williams, Director of Urban Music Programming for Music Choice. "Ciara is a perfect addition to the list of superstar artists we have showcased on our Artist of the Month program because of her massive appeal to our audience of millions of music fans nationwide. Music Choice not only showcases the music of this R & B superstar, but we also give our audience a chance to know the person behind the music through the original programming offered as part of our Artist of the Month feature." |

One thing that I love is to watch those indie films. I mean how many times can you watch Tom Cruise or Penelope Cruz or Salma Hayek. It is nice to be able to watch some new faces, bodies (of course), and some fresh approach to acting. That is why I like the psychological thriller "Pink Eye." No, it is not one of those movies that shows Hello Kitty stuff and cute girls giggling over makeup.
"Pink Eye" is set in a small town in upstate New York, at a prison-like, dilapidated insane asylum where secret drug testing has gone inexplicably wrong. Patients are dying in sick and twisted ways and those who survive are becoming raging, homicidal lunatics. It's only a matter of time before all hell breaks loose and the patients begin to crave freedom to take their vengeance out on the world outside. When one patient does escape deformed, angry and far beyond insane, he brings death and terror to an unsuspecting town and everyone in it. (Related: More movie reviews)
Melissa Bacelar (pictured on left - I could watch this movie just to look at her legs) is the main star but the film also features notable independent horror actors such as Alan Rowe Kelly (The Bloodshed); Zoe Daelman (I'll Bury You Tomorrow); Joshua Nelson (Aunt Rose, Last Rites of the Dead); Nathan Faudree (Kottentail, Bigfoot at Holler Creek Canyon); Raine Brown (Horror, Barricade) and Kenneth McGregor (X-Men, Xena: Warrior Princess.) |

I know, like me, you worry about how to dress in Las Vegas, because it is so rare that we get to be there. Not the celebrities. Hollywood celebrities like Britney Spears or Paris Hilton can be there with as little planning as you and I would need to go to Olive Garden.
But they need not worry since there is Bibhu Mohapatra, a designer who has designed clothes worn by Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Julianne Moore, Eve, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Salma Hayak, Mandy Moore, and Gwen Stefani. The India -born designer has worked for Halston and J. Mendel. His latest design is the wedding (to Tom Luzier) outfit for Allison Beard. |
