Miss Venezuela Vanessa Paretti
It is always nice to see women in their national attire and at the beauty pageant in Tokyo, it was as beautiful as ever, particularly the dresses of Miss China Lina Ding, Miss Japan Kyoko Sugiyama, Miss Brazil Carolina Prates, and Miss Turkey Asli Temel.  But the outfit of Vanessa Paretti is definitely very enlightening about the culture of Venezuela.
 
Miss Brazil Carolina Prates
Japan and Brazil have an interesting relationship and I am sure it must have been evident at the appearance of Miss Brazil Carolina Prates in a dress inspired by the carnivals at the beauty pageant in Tokyo.  After all the city organizes a beautiful samba carnival each summer.
 
Miss Turkey Asli Temel
I am starting to see a lot of good stuff coming out of Turkey and it is not just kebab rap or competitors to McDonalds or fashion designers .  Miss Turkey Asli Temel is one beautiful woman and I am glad that she made an appearance at the beauty pageant in Tokyo.
 
Miss China Lina Ding
While China is fast becoming an economic superpower except for Zhang Ziyi or Lucy Liu or Kong Weip or Sandra Oh and a few other Chinese stars who are Hollywood celebrities , most of us pay no attention to them.  In fact as I looked at the photos, I find that Lina Ding is prettier than Miss Japan Kyoko Sugiyama.

I don't know why she reminds me of Riyo Mori and Rinko Kikuchi but Kyoko Sugiyama is such a classic Japanese beauty , though somehow I missed her in the Japanese swimsuits part of the pageant.  She is the Miss International Japan.  I kind of like her crown but the way it is tied around her face looks so funny.
