After the mega hit “The passion of the Christ,” Mel Gibson is again igniting his passion. This time Mel is working on a movie about the Mayan civilization set 500 years ago. In Mel’s tradition, the movie will try to represent the life in that era in its most natural form (including the dialogues being in the ancient Mayan dialect). We are all familiar with the Mayan Riviera in Mexico which Cancun is part of. Well, this is the area of the new movie called “Apocalypto.” The Mayan world extends beyond the Riviera and covers vast lands with incredible landscapes in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize. |

It may sound too far for most Americans to go to but there are few places on the planet like the Fiji Islands. No wonder stars like Britney Spears (who went to Turtle Island on her honeymoon) and Jessica Simpson have vacationed there. Tori Spelling, who divorced Charlie Shanian, quickly married Dean McDermott in Fiji with just the two of them present - no guests or family members invited. What could be more private than that?
