Vacation of a lifetime
Celebrity Travel News
After being inspired by the likes of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, I highlighted a luxurious vacation at the Ritz Carlton in Vegas.  Well, now I have found another vacation package that will blow your mind, and wallet, and definitely put you in the leage of Hollywood celebrities.  For a meagre $425,000, you can have a vacation of a lifetime.  While you are welcome to go with that special someone, you may also make this a family reunion - up to 10 people total.  This is what you get from this package developed by Villas of Distinction:

Surrounded by the sparkling blue Caribbean Sea of the British Virgin Islands, Necker Island exudes the elegance and lifestyle of the rich and famous.

The living and dining areas are cavernous. Tropical sunlight streams through vast skylights in the vaulted ceiling. Wide louvered windows open to the exhilarating ocean breezes. A raised gallery overlooks an interior garden of lush palms and ferns.

Outside, the villa is encircled by broad, galleried terraces of York stone. A patio is set for dining al fresco. All about, comfortable lounge furniture invites languid relaxation or quiet reading. Vacation on Moorea Island
Celebrity Travel News

Photo of the Pearl Resort on the Island of Moorea

The island of Moorea (Mo'orea) in French Polynesia is so beautiful that it is sometimes called "the most beautiful place on earth."  It is the second most popular destination after Tahiti (which is just 11 miles away).

Contrary to what you might think, the island is big:  more than 50 sqare miles and about 15,000 inhabitants.  And believe it or not, more tourists go there than to Bora Bora, which has been made popular by Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Eva Longoria, and Tony Parker.

The Pearl Resorts in Tikehau (which is two hours away from Bora Bora) recently invited Hollywood celebrities to get married there.  The living quarters are very similar to those at the St. Regis Resort in Bora Bora.

Katie Rees parties at the Palms
Celebrity spottings
Hollywood celebrities Britney Spears and Isaac Cohen were at The Palms.  So was Justin Timberlake.  How come ex-Miss Nevada stayed at the same suite as him?  The Hardwood Suite Palms Casino costs a whopping $25,000 a night and no matter how many times she may have exposed herself, I am not sure if she got any money for it.  That's too bad.

The only possibility is that if you are Katie Rees, you are simply enjoying your 15 minutes of fame.  She has been recently crowned as Miss Jet Las Vegas, which is like being crowned Miss Anytown.  My best guess is that the Palms management simply wanted publicity and they either gave it to her for free or for a small price.  It's good to be Katie Rees right now and not so good to be Tara Connor.

Bricks Nightclub in Miami
Celebrity Travel News

Apart from Snatch and the Havana Club in Miami, there is another location that I like:  the Bricks nightclub.  Well, I am not the only one to like it.  So do Hollywood celebrities and Troy Aikman, Venus Williams, Lennox Louis, Rick Fox, Terrell Davis, Jeff Garcia, Willie McGinest, Richard Seymour, Shawne Merriman, Chris Myers, and Antonio Gates.

It has five full service bars, and of course, some of the best views in Miami.

The Jade is the outdoor patio area that can accommodate up to 500 people.

The Sky Lounge can also accommodate same number of guests and has its own private entrance, private cabanas, and in case you get tired, large plush couches.

The Led Lighting Room has as many as three bars, oversized leather couches and lounge area and plenty of space for dancing and spotting celebrities.  If you want a big party, this is it:  1,000 guests.

The Havana Club of Miami is a private club, allowing only 800 members with the exclusive privileges of this club including, personalized private humidor in humidor room, elite concierge services, and club-provided limousine with chauffeur.  While Snatch and Bricks Nightclub are open to the public, you can access this exclusive place only as a companion or if you buy a ticket for special events that almost always include celebrities, like Tom Cruise, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, The Black Eyed Peas, Tom Arnold, Rich Eisen, Troy Aikman, SHAQ, and Carmen Electra.

It offers a full view of the Biscayne Bay from the top floor of the 55-story Wachovia Financial Center. This is considered to be one of the most elite cigar clubs in the world.  Of course, it also has exotic Cuban cuisine prepared by Chef Douglas Sisk.

Justin Timberlake at the Palms Hardwood Suite
Celebrity Travel News

Photo of the Palms Hardwood Suite with two women in jacuzziWhen Britney Spears and Isaac Cohen stayed at the $40,000 a night Palms Playboy suite in Las Vegas, it was big news.  Well, Justin Timberlake (her former sweetheart) did something similar, with some hot Hollywood celebrities - Alyssa Milano and Eva Longoria

Not too far from that suite is the Palms Las Vegas Hardwood suite that goes for $25,000 a night.  And as you can guess, this is no ordinary suite.  This is the only suite in the world with an indoor basketball court.  Wait, there is more.  The total area is 10,000 square foot (that is four times the size of my suburban home, which I think is big because it takes so much time to clean it) and includes locker rooms with private access, scoreboard, pool table, full bar with lounge, and room to dance.

And if you are wondering that you will end up in a basketball court, listen to this one.  The suite has NBA sized Murphy beds on the basketball court, NBA memorabilia, a large dining area, living/media room, Jacuzzi tub (pictured left), and plasma televisions .

Bollywood celebrities go to Goa for vacation
Celebrity Travel News

Photo of the swimming pool at the Goa Leela Palace

We all know where Hollywood celebrities go to get their R&R, but what about Bollywood celebrities?  Considering the size of the two film industries, it seems that there are far more stars in Mumbai than in Los Angeles.  Many of them go to a place called Goa, a former Portuguese colony, very close to Mumbai.  And they stay at places like The Club at The Leela Palace.

This beach resort has 15 one-bedroom suites, six with a private pool.  Now these suites are nothing compared to the resorts in Bora Bora or Maldives, but if you include the Indian hospitality, they are pretty good.  You can also stay in the main resort which is a marble structure, and also save money .

And by the way, if you do go to India, try some ayurvedic spa treatments - like the Sirodhara treatment, where warm medicated oil is dripped in a steady stream on the forehead, said to open the "third eye."

There is a reason why Phil Keoghan and Madonna love India!

Britney Spears, Isaac Cohen at The Palms

When you are Britney Spears you can do almost anything.  No, I am not talking about ditching your panties; I am talking about staying in a $40,000 a night suite in Las Vegas (How to dress in Las Vegas) .

That's right.  The two-floor Hugh Hefner Sky Villa at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas Fantasy Tower and that is what she rented to impress new boyfriend Isaac Cohen.

So what do you get for forty grand?

An indoor Playboy themed pool (see the picture on the left), an outdoor Jacuzzi pool with glass walls so you can have a view of the Strip.  The suite itself has all the other ultimate luxuries and is equivalent in size to a Hollywood mansion, complete with gym and spa.  And if you want to engage in little bedroom action, try a rotating bed.  While you are welcome to step out and dine at any of the fine restaurants in the casino, you don't have to.  Almost any meal that you request can be delivered to or cooked right in your suite.

Max Brenner chocolate restaurant
Celebrity Travel News

Photo of the interior of the Max Brenner chocolate restaurant in New York

If you are a chocoholic, you are not alone.  So many of us are addicted to chocolates.  And so are Hollywood celebrities, who can't seem to get enough of it.  While chocolate has many benefits, of course, too much of anything is bad.  So always eat in moderation.

But how do you eat chocolate?

Well, you could always just gobble up a chocolate bar or have a fondue meal, but better still do what Hilary Swank, Kate Bosworth and Chelsea Clinton do?  Head to Max Brenner (well, I went to the one in New York City, but it has several other locations in Australia, The Philippines, Israel, and Singapore).

So what do I think of this restaurant that is so packed almost all the time that you feel you are in Times Square?  Well, if you don't mind the crowds, the wait, and the high noise-level, check it out (there is always the take-out option if it is too crowded or if you don't mind drinking/eating in the small bar, you will be just fine).  You will be impressed by interesting dishes and there is nothing like going to a restaurant where it is all about chocolates.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes honeymoon in Maldives
Celebrity Travel News
Bikini clad women vacation in Maldives
After choosing Italy for their wedding and their wedding night, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes chose Maldives as their honeymoon spot (it is believed that David Beckham and Victoria, who are very close to the couple recommended the destination to them).  Maldives is a group of island in the Indian Ocean with as many as 87 exclusive resort islands.

A country of just a quarter million people, it welcomes people from all over the world (no visas required).  English is widely spoken.  Several major airlines like Austrian, Singapore, and Air Europe fly into the country.  Hilton, W, and Club Med all have luxury resorts there allowing you to enjoy a true tropical vacation.

While you are welcome to just make love all day, but in case you get tired, try scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, and whale/dolphin watching.
