Do you know where John F. Kennedy Jr. went on his honeymoon? Actually, the stylish man that he was, he had a very exotic honeymoon with his lovely wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. They did not go to the traditional resorts; instead, he took a relatively low-key trip to many places, including Honduras. In western Honduras he visited the Mayan ruins of Copan – a very unique and impressive place for those fascinated by history and architecture. In fact filmmaker Mel Gibston was so fascinated that he is making the movie Apocalpyto in that part of the world. This is a place for nature and adventure lovers, but it is easy to get to and has relatively good hotels and food at a very low price. No wonder Richard Gere also visited there with his family. |

So how did Paris Hilton celebrate her birthday? Well, not at Disneyland this time. She actually partied at a nightclub by the name of Pure at the Caesars Palace casino in Las Vegas with her family members. So nothing crazy this time - even her "current" boyfriend was missing. Present were her sister Nicky Hilton and parents Kathy Hilton and Rick Hilton.
And the birthday celebration actually began closer to home with a meal at the Spanish Kitchen - a cool Mexican cuisine restaurant right there in Beverly Hills, California. The family reportedly flew to Las Vegas on a private plane. And to make her jealous, Paris' arch-enemy just a few weeks later threw a surprise birthday party for Adam Goldstein ("DJ AM") in the same place. She also had Pussycat Dolls perform for them. While it does not seem that Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake were inspired by these two feuding friends, but they celebrated his birthday there as well. Of course, the family of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson loves the spot. And so do Mariah Carey and Britney Spears. (Related: Orso) |

Ask the Dust, the new movie with Colin Farell and Salma Hayek was partly filmed in South Africa. The movie is an adaptation of Depression era novel by John Fante. Why South Africa? The reason is simple - the movie depicts Los Angeles in the depression era and Los Angeles has changed a lot since them. Due to the modernization of the city, the film ended up being shot in South Africa, where a large set recreating downtown L.A., circa 1933, was built from scratch. The movie was filmed in Cape Town, a picturesque city. Both Salma and Collin have good things to say about Cape Town. "I think this city is gorgeous," Farrell said in an interview. He also expressed that he would like to visit the city again. Salma also had good things to say, "I wake up every morning and see the beautiful sunrise. It's different every day; it makes this city almost artistic. It's a magical place." |
